The côtes du Ventoux : The Côtes-du-Ventoux appellation, which was granted in 1973, covers 51 towns, from Puyméras to Apt and including Carpentras, which is 7801 hectares. Here, red wines account for 80% of the production, rosés wine for 17% and the remainder in white. Côtes du Ventoux wines offer a profusion of scents and aromas. The reds are very exuberant, with aromas of red fruit and spices, evolving toward truffle, resin and leather. The rosés are very floral, with rosebud notes and broom flower which are a beautiful foil for the fruitier notes of cherry and raspberry. The whites have scents of narcissus, geranium and iris, which harmoniously blend with the refined notes of pear, green apple, almond and citrus..
